Guiding Principles
When IMPACT 94503 first met, we established a number of principles to guide our actions and focus our approach. They are listed below:
- Freedoms are not only rights, they are responsibilities;
- If a solution cannot be offered, there is no point to complain about the problem;
- Treat individuals that have opposing viewpoints with the same decency and respect as we would with those that do agree with us;
- Advocate our positions with as much passion as we can bring to bear; but always seek common ground--the goal is to do what is in the best interests of the community;
- Seek the truth, even if it means changing our position;
- Celebrate diversity, not only race and gender, but cultural, political and social diversity. There is no better way to grow as a person or as a community.

- Membership Levels:
- Full Membership entitles you to vote and serve as a Board Member or Officer.
- Associate Membership gives you access to our work in progress as well as direct invitations to all group activities and events.
- Membership Fees per year:
- Full Membership is $120;
- Associate Membership is only $25
- Associate/Seniors (over 55) is $10; and
- Non-residents of American Canyon is $75.

IMPACT 94503 was formed in January 2006, with the long-term goal of improving the American Canyon Community through civic action.
Quickly we realized that being political was not enough. We also needed to be involved in community programs and services as well. In January 2008 we clarified our mission and vision statement to recognize that the key way to achieve positive change was through civic action and community service.
As a result, we get involved in local policy issues, volunteer our time and money on community programs and events, and insist upon the highest professional and ethical standards from our elected officials as well as ourselves.
